Job summary

ITG Communications, LLC is seeking a Utility Locator to identify and mark underground utilities, ensuring safe excavation and construction activities.

You will read maps, interpret GIS records, and use locating equipment to determine utility paths, documenting all activities. The role requires clear communication with contractors and field teams while maintaining safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in utility locating, construction, telecom, gas, water, or electrical preferred.
• Knowledge of One-Call systems and 811 regulations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform underground facility locates per standards.
• Read maps, GIS records and work orders to determine utility paths.
• Use locating tools to mark underground utilities accurately.
• Document locate activity with sketches, photos, GPS data and work orders.
• Respond to routine and emergency locate requests.
