Job summary

Spirit AeroSystems, Inc. is seeking a Senior Project Manager to oversee complex programs in collaboration with Boeing. You will coordinate safety, manufacturing, and cross-functional teams to deliver on-time results.

The role requires strong leadership, schedule management, and experience with MS Project and PMI-certified approaches; a Bachelor’s in Engineering or related field is preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in safety, manufacturing, or project management environments.
• Proven experience leading projects from initiation through execution and closeout.
• Strong computer skills with Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint and Word.

Responsibilities

• Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects.
• Reviews status of projects and budgets, manages schedules, and prepares status reports.
• Assesses production issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and customer goals.
• Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention with stakeholders.
• Mentors team members and suggests new strategies or concepts.
• Balances multiple projects with cross-functional coordination and leadership.
• Performs risk assessment and mitigation; fosters partnerships with internal customers.
