Job summary

Spirit AeroSystems, Inc., a Boeing subsidiary, is seeking a program manager to lead multi-year aerospace projects, coordinating with program management, planning, and operations to deliver on schedules and budgets in a highly collaborative environment.

This role requires presenting to executive leadership, strong SAP/MES familiarity, and the ability to balance multiple projects while driving process improvements in Kansas. The position is union-represented and based in Wichita, KS.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of related aerospace manufacturing experience involving heavy structures.
• Ability to create and present in-depth presentations to executive-level management.
• Strong computer skills with Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Manages the full life cycle for ongoing multi-year and near-term projects, serving as liaison for program management and planning, project teams, and operational leadership.
• Reviews status of project plans, budgets, and schedules, preparing status reports as needed.
• Assesses production issues and develops solutions to meet productivity, quality, and customer service deliverables.
• Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with all stakeholders.
• Ensures capital equipment meets defined capacity, throughput, quality and timing needs, and presents updates to executives.
• Integrates all projects for visibility, accountability, opportunities, risk mitigation, and needed resources.
• Assists in training, mentoring, and developing team members while suggesting process improvements.
• Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills with cross-functional collaboration.
