Start dates are May 17th or May 24th, 2027, with internships running through August. Ideal candidates are pursuing a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering and eager to contribute in a safety‑focused team environment.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering at an accredited college or university.
• Strong interested in learning about the environmental services industry.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a professional team environment.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office or relevant technical tools.
• Proficiency in CAD or similar software for updating and modifying engineering drawings.
• Knowledge of P&IDs and piping ISOs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times.
• Assist in the implementation and maintenance of the Mechanical Integrity Program.
• Use modeling platform to work on models of refinery equipment and operations.
• Use CAD program to revise and update drawings.
• Assist site engineer with project scoping and design for fixed and rotating equipment.
• Assist with trouble shooting multi-disciplinary problems with the refinery units.
• Gain exposure and participate to Process Safety Management (PSM) principles, including the Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) process, Management of Change (MOCs), Operating Procedures, Incident Investigation, and other elements of PSM.
• Take initiative and demonstrate a proactive approach to learning and problem-solving.
• Adhere to safety protocols and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, including the pillars of Process Safety Management (PSM).
