Job summary

Precision Terminal Logistics is seeking a reliable Loader to join our team in Buffalo. You will load and unload materials, follow safety protocols, and communicate with the crew to verify procedures and schedules.

This role requires physical strength, stamina, and the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions. Hands-on training and ongoing safety meetings are provided to ensure a safe, efficient operation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required.
• Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing in English, including documentation and incident reporting.
• Physical strength and stamina to perform manual labor tasks, including lifting and carrying heavy objects.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions and adapt to changing environmental factors.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to follow safety protocols and procedures.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating reliability and dependability in completing assigned tasks.

Responsibilities

• Wear PPE and utilize proper tools as required for safe completion of tasks.
• Safely climb up and down railcars, trailers, or other elevated platforms using three-point contact.
• Lift, carry, push, or pull items up to 80 pounds, adhering to proper lifting techniques.
• Perform tasks that require stooping, bending, squatting, and standing for extended periods.
• Work outdoors in various weather conditions, adapting to environmental factors for productivity and safety.
• Maintain written documentation including checklists, arrivals and departures, and incident reporting.
• Communicate with team about verification process, address safety concerns, and report incidents promptly.
• Collaborate with management to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to schedules.
• Follow procedures for safe handling and storage of materials, including hazardous substances when applicable.
• Participate in daily safety training sessions and adhere to company policies to maintain a safe environment.
• Perform maintenance on equipment as needed.
