Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Workplace Health & Safety Specialist (WHSS) to elevate safety culture across our Illinois facilities. You will lead safety programs, investigations, risk assessments, and training to protect associates while maintaining productive operations.

This role requires physical stamina (lift up to 49 lb, stand up to 12 hours) and flexible shifts including days, nights, and weekends. A minimum EH&S background or related degree is required; OSHA knowledge and First Aid/CPR

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent.
• 1 year in an EHS-related field OR a Bachelor’s degree in EHS OR 6 months in a safety role at Amazon.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations, specifically 29 CFR 1910.
• Experience using Word and Excel in a professional setting.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality in workplace matters.
