Job summary

Bunge North America is offering a Safety Internship Program in the United States. The 12-week summer term will place you at a crush/refine, packaging, or grain elevator facility, with relocation as needed.

You will gain hands-on experience in safety management, develop training materials, perform hazard assessments, and contribute to audits and corrective actions while traveling to other sites as required. This role emphasizes safety culture and professional growth.

Qualifications

• Pursuing an Occupational Health and Safety Diploma or Certificate.
• Ability to adjust to multiple demands, shifting priorities, ambiguity, adversity, and constant change.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Analytical problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in standard PC applications.
• Ability to travel.

Responsibilities

• Support safety culture and continuous improvement on site through governance model (70/20/10).
• Develop training material and update procedures, safe work instructions, and JHAs.
• Conduct PPE and confined space hazard assessments, review LOTO procedures and permits.
• Track and trend proactive and reactive metrics and perform gap analyses.
• Conduct audits and prepare reports with corrective actions.
• Travel to other Bunge facilities for development and/or assistance as requested.
• Communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
