Russell Tobin is hiring Safety Drivers in Dallas, TX to support testing and development of autonomous vehicles. You will test next-generation vehicles on real-world roads, gain hands-on experience in an innovative industry, and work with remote operators and engineering teams.

Ideal candidates have a valid U.S. driver's license (3+ years), strong driving and situational awareness, and the ability to follow detailed procedures under varied weather and road conditions.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate autonomous vehicles during on-road testing.
• Alternate between manual driving and supervising autonomous mode.
• Monitor traffic, road conditions, the vehicle, and environment.
• Identify hazards and respond quickly and safely.
• Work with remote operators and engineering teams.
• Perform vehicle safety checks before and after shifts.
• Collect driving and vehicle performance data.
• Document observations and testing activities.
• Assist with basic technical tasks, hardware adjustments, and software uploads.
• Support basic troubleshooting as needed.
