Job summary

Russell Tobin is seeking an Autonomous Driving Specialist in Austin, TX, for a leading autonomous vehicle technology company. This full-time role offers 40 hours per week, with multiple shift options including 8- and 10-hour days for testing and on-road operations.

You will safely operate vehicles, switch between manual driving and supervisor modes with remote operators, monitor performance, and assist with testing, data collection, and basic technical tasks. A valid U.S.

Qualifications

• Valid U.S. driver’s license with at least 3 years of driving experience.
• Clean driving record.
• Ability to work full-time and accommodate shift options.
• Strong commitment to safety and professionalism.
• Experience with autonomous vehicle testing a plus.

Our client, a leading autonomous vehicle technology company, is looking to hire a Autonomous Driving Specialist in Austin, TX.

Pay Rate: $25/hour

Schedule: Full-Time | 40 hours/week

Shifts: Multiple shift options, including 8- or 10-hour day shifts and evening shifts

Responsibilities

• Safely and lawfully operate autonomous vehicles in the Austin area for testing and on-road operations.
• Alternate between manually driving and supervising autonomous driving modes in coordination with remote operators.
• Monitor vehicle performance, identify hazards, and respond appropriately.
• Demonstrate strong safety awareness, sound judgment, and attention to detail while driving.
• Support vehicle testing and data collection activities.
• Complete pre- and post-shift vehicle safety checks.
• Collaborate with remote operators and engineering teams.
• Assist with basic technical tasks, including hardware adjustments, software uploads, troubleshooting, and data logging.
• Work safely across different road types and weather conditions.

Requirements

• Valid U.S. driver’s license with at least 3 years of driving experience.
• Clean driving record.
• Strong hazard awareness, judgment, and attention to detail.
• Ability to safely operate vehicles in various weather and road conditions.
• Strong commitment to safety and professionalism.
• Ability to work full-time and accommodate available shift options.
