Job description

SAFETY DRIVER – AUTONOMOUS VEHICLE TESTING

Dallas, TX | $22–$25/hour | Full-Time | 40 Hours/Week | Permanent Direct Hire

If you're driving for Uber, Lyft, DoorDash, Amazon Flex, or other delivery platforms, you already know how unpredictable independent driving can be.

One day is busy. The next day you're sitting in your car waiting for an order.

You work more hours, but your income doesn't always reflect it.

You deal with slow periods, changing demand, fuel costs, vehicle expenses, and the constant question:

"How much am I actually going to make this week?"

What if you could take the driving experience you already have and turn it into something more stable?

We're hiring Safety Drivers in Dallas, TX to join a growing team working with autonomous vehicle technology.

And this is the part that makes this opportunity different:

THIS IS NOT GIG WORK.

THIS IS NOT A TEMPORARY ASSIGNMENT.

You’ll have a consistent 40-hour workweek, $22–$25/hour, benefits, and the opportunity to build a long-term career while working with cutting-edge autonomous vehicle technology.

Instead of waiting for your next ride...

Instead of refreshing your delivery app...

Instead of wondering whether there will be enough orders tomorrow...

You’ll know when you’re working, how many hours you’re scheduled for, and what you’re earning.

You don't need to start over.

If you've spent years behind the wheel, you already have many of the skills this position requires.

Maybe you've been:

  • Driving Uber or Lyft
  • Delivering food or packages
  • Driving a delivery van
  • Working in transportation
  • Operating fleet vehicles
  • Driving professionally
  • Working in logistics
  • Driving shuttles
  • Working in security
  • Serving in the military

You’ve already developed something valuable:

You know how to drive.

Now you can use those skills in a completely different industry.

You’ll work with autonomous vehicles during real-world road testing in Dallas, TX.

Your job is much more than simply sitting behind the wheel.

You’ll help the team safely test and evaluate autonomous driving technology on real roads.

Your responsibilities may include:

  • Driving the vehicle when manual control is required
  • Supervising the vehicle while it operates autonomously
  • Monitoring traffic, pedestrians, road conditions, weather, and potential hazards
  • Maintaining constant situational awareness
  • Responding appropriately to unexpected situations
  • Working with remote operators and engineering teams
  • Performing vehicle safety checks
  • Recording observations and driving data
  • Following detailed testing and safety procedures
  • Assisting with basic technology-related tasks
  • Supporting simple hardware adjustments and software uploads
  • Providing feedback that helps improve autonomous driving systems
YOU'RE NOT JUST DRIVING.

You’re helping test technology that is changing the future of transportation.

That's okay.

You do not need an engineering degree.

You do not need to be a technology expert.

Training is provided.

We’re looking for experienced, safety-conscious drivers who can stay focused, follow procedures, make good decisions, and learn new technology.

Benefits
  • Flexible Spending Account
  • Short- and long-term disability coverage
  • Life insurance
  • 401(k)

This is designed to give you something gig driving often can't:

PREDICTABILITY.

Employee benefits.

And an opportunity to build something longer-term.

How much time do you spend:

Waiting for your next ride?

Driving around looking for your next order?

Working during peak hours because that's when demand is highest?

Putting miles on your personal vehicle?

Trying to predict what your income will look like next week?

With this position, your driving experience can become part of a structured, full-time career opportunity.

You won't have to chase the next customer.

You won't have to wait for the next delivery request.

You show up. You work your scheduled hours. You get paid for your time.

And you'll be working with technology that is helping shape the future of transportation.

You should have:

  • A valid U.S. driver's license held for at least 3 years
  • Strong driving skills
  • Excellent situational awareness
  • Good judgment behind the wheel
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to follow detailed procedures
  • Comfort using technology
  • Reliability and professionalism
  • Ability to work the assigned schedule

No autonomous vehicle experience required.

No engineering degree required.

Training provided.

A quick MVR (Motor Vehicle Record) check will be completed as part of the hiring process to verify your driving history.

This isn't an opportunity where you have to wonder how many hours you'll get next week.

This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week permanent position in Dallas, TX, with multiple shift options.

The goal is simple:

Give you a predictable schedule, reliable income, employee benefits, and a long-term opportunity.

Maybe you've been driving for Uber.

Maybe you've been delivering packages.

Maybe you've been working independently.

Maybe you're tired of putting more miles on your own vehicle just to keep your income moving.

Maybe you're simply ready for something different.

You don't have to give up driving.

You can take the skills you've already built and use them in a new industry.

Join a team working with autonomous vehicle technology and help test the vehicles that could transform transportation.

NOW IT'S TIME TO TURN THAT EXPERIENCE INTO SOMETHING MORE STABLE.
