Job summary

Harmon Scrap Metal LLC is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator to safely and efficiently run yard machinery such as material handlers, front-end loaders, and skid steers. You will feed the shredder feed conveyor, load and unload trucks, and move materials around the yard with a strong emphasis on safety.

This role requires attention to detail, a valid driver's license, and 2 years of industrial/outdoor equipment experience.

Qualifications

• Operate heavy equipment safely following OSHA and site procedures.
• Load scrap and move materials across the yard.
• Perform daily pre-operation inspections and report defects.
• Coordinate with drivers and teammates to ensure safe traffic flow.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety procedures and attend safety meetings.
• Operate equipment including material handler and loaders.
• Load trailers, unload vehicles, and move materials in the yard.
• Attend training and participate in internal meetings.
