Job summary

Wells is seeking a Forklift Operator to safely move, load, and unload materials in our facility and yard. The role requires routine equipment inspections and support for steel shop tasks in a fast-paced environment focused on safety and efficiency.

The ideal candidate will have forklift experience, strong attention to detail, and a dependable work ethic, capable of following safety procedures and working both independently and with a team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (not required).
• Forklift certificate preferred but not required.
• Experience operating a forklift in a construction setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate the Forklift in a safe and appropriate manner on rough terrain.
• Unload and stack material by raising and lowering the lifting device.
• Position forks, lifting platforms, or other lifting devices under, over, or around loaded pallets, boxes, or other materials.
• Move levers, shift gears, depress the pedal, and maneuver the steering wheel to operate the equipment.
• Perform safety inspections on forklifts.
• Assist in the steel shop with palletizing materials, loading/unloading trucks, painting, organizing materials, and other tasks as requested.
