Job summary

Courtyard Health and Rehabilitation is seeking a qualified Director of Maintenance to lead the Maintenance Department and ensure proper functioning of facility systems, equipment, and grounds in compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.

The role requires developing and overseeing a preventative maintenance plan, managing equipment programs, hiring and supervising technicians, and conducting safety inspections.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational/technical degree preferred.
• Minimum of three years in a supervisory maintenance/plant role.
• Knowledge of boilers, compressors, generators, electrical, mechanical and plumbing systems.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Strong understanding of building codes and safety regulations.
• Dedication to maintaining high safety and functional standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop and oversee a preventative maintenance plan with tasks and timelines.
• Establish and manage equipment and utilities programs for efficiency.
• Hire, train, and supervise maintenance technicians.
• Conduct regular safety inspection tours and document findings.
• Provide facility-wide safety training and chair the Safety Committee.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on buildings, grounds, and systems.
• Ensure supplies and tools are properly maintained for safe operation.
• Stay current on building codes and regulatory requirements.
• Seek innovative solutions to improve maintenance operations and safety.
