First Quality is seeking a Production Manager to lead Defiance, OH Converting operations, driving safety, quality, and cost-effective production. The role requires a strong leader who can coordinate with maintenance, planning, and cross-functional teams to achieve plant goals.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in production, 5+ in management, and a Bachelor’s degree in business or engineering. The company offers growth opportunities and a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Management or Engineering.
• 10+ years in Production and ≥5 years in Production Management.
• Experience in lean manufacturing.
• Experience in inventory control, scheduling, and planning.
• Strong safety knowledge.
• Excel and Office proficiency; SAP knowledge preferred.
• Leadership and talent development skills.
• Strong problem-solving and judgment.
• Excellent time management and delegation.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Promote a safety culture across the site.
• Manage daily operations in the Converting department with focus on quality and cost.
• Develop, implement, and lead initiatives to support production objectives.
• Communicate operating plans, goals, and expectations clearly.
• Foster collaboration among work teams and with other functions.
• Promote transparency and positive communication.
• Lead and coach direct reports with feedback.
• Ensure training and development of converting team members.
• Prioritize platform production activities for safety, quality and efficiency.
• Lead platform trials for process and product learning.
• Support maintenance priorities and reliability development.
