United Electric Company seeks a Safety Director to lead the company-wide safety strategy, ensuring compliance and a zero-incident safety culture. The role oversees training, regulatory reporting, incident investigations, and continuous safety improvements across operations and contract partners.

Strong leadership and regulatory expertise are essential. The position is based in Louisville, KY with travel to job sites, and offers competitive pay with comprehensive health and retirement benefits.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in health & safety or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive safety experience in electrical contracting, construction, or related industrial environment.
• 5+ years in a safety leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA construction standards, recordkeeping, and electrical safety requirements.
• Experience leading incident investigations and managing safety teams/third-party providers.

Responsabilidades

• Lead company-wide safety strategy, training, and programs.
• Ensure OSHA and customer safety requirements and inspections are met.
• Oversee incident management, root-cause investigations and risk mitigation.
• Lead safety team and manage third-party safety providers and budget.
• Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
