Job summary

LeoForce is seeking a Permanent Safety Director in Greensboro, NC to develop and lead comprehensive safety programs ensuring federal, state, and local compliance. The role entails audits, training, incident investigations, and regulatory liaison with OSHA while driving a culture of safety across the organization.

You will organize safety training, analyze safety data for trends, and maintain documentation. A Bachelor's in safety management and 5+ years of leadership experience, with CSP/CHST

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in safety management or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in safety leadership.
  • CSP or CHST certification preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge of OSHA regulations and industrial safety best practices.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing effective safety programs.
  • Excellent communication skills to convey safety information at all levels.
  • Strong analytical skills to analyze safety data and identify trends.
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong leadership skills to inspire and motivate others to prioritize safety.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and manage safety programs and policies.
  • Conduct safety audits and inspections to identify hazards and ensure equipment readiness.
  • Lead safety training sessions for employees at all levels.
  • Investigate incidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
  • Liaise with regulatory agencies including OSHA and report incidents timely.
  • Collaborate with management to identify and mitigate safety risks.
  • Monitor safety performance data to identify trends and improvements.
  • Develop and maintain safety documentation such as manuals and reports.
  • Lead the safety committee and promote a collaborative safety culture across the organization.

Job Details
Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement, and manage safety programs and policies to promote a culture of safety and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards, ensure safety equipment is in good working order, and ensure safety procedures are being followed.
  • Organize and lead safety training sessions for employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Investigate incidents and accidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Act as a liaison with regulatory agencies, including OSHA, and ensure timely reporting of incidents and accidents.
  • Collaborate with management and employees to identify and mitigate potential safety risks.
  • Continuously monitor and analyze safety performance data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Develop and maintain safety documentation, including safety manuals, training materials, and incident reports.
  • Lead the safety committee and foster a collaborative approach to safety across the organization.
Qualifications:

  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) certification is preferred.
