Job summary

Jobot is seeking a highly motivated Permanent Safety Director to join our Greensboro, NC team. You will lead and inspire a culture of safety, implement and maintain safety programs, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations to protect employees.

Responsibilities


  • Develop, implement, and manage safety programs and policies to promote a culture of safety and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

  • Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards, ensure safety equipment is in good working order, and ensure safety procedures are being followed.

  • Organize and lead safety training sessions for employees at all levels of the organization.

  • Investigate incidents and accidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

  • Act as a liaison with regulatory agencies, including OSHA, and ensure timely reporting of incidents and accidents.

  • Collaborate with management and employees to identify and mitigate potential safety risks.

  • Continuously monitor and analyze safety performance data to identify trends and areas for improvement.

  • Develop and maintain safety documentation, including safety manuals, training materials, and incident reports.

  • Lead the safety committee and foster a collaborative approach to safety across the organization.



Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree in safety management or a related field.

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in safety leadership.

  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) certification is preferred.

  • Extensive knowledge of OSHA regulations and industrial safety best practices.

  • Proven track record of developing and implementing effective safety programs.

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey safety information to employees at all levels of the organization.

  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze safety data and identify trends.

  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others to prioritize safety.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and safety management software.
