Job summary

SDV Construction is seeking a hands-on Safety Specialist in Albuquerque, New Mexico. You will work with project teams to identify risks, strengthen safe work practices, and ensure crews have the training and resources to work safely every day.

You'll lead safety orientations, inspections, and investigations, while maintaining OSHA and NM compliance and fostering a culture of accountability and teamwork across projects.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction safety on commercial general contracting projects.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA construction standards and NM regulations.
• Ability to identify hazards, assess risk, and implement practical safety solutions.

Responsibilities

• Identify risks on multiple job sites and strengthen safe work practices.
• Lead safety orientations, toolbox talks, and ongoing training.
• Conduct proactive site inspections and investigate incidents/near misses.
• Maintain OSHA and NM compliance with documentation and reporting.
• Collaborate with project teams to promote a culture of safety.
