Job summary

Layton Construction in Albuquerque is seeking an ESH professional responsible for implementing safety policies across project sites. The role involves championing a robust safety culture, managing safety programs, and supervising safe behavior.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Safety & Health, 5+ years of relevant experience, and strong knowledge of OSHA and MSHA regulations. Extensive travel across the U.S. is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of ESH experience required.
• Accreditations preferred: CHST, ASP, CSP, ICRA.
• Previous CCIP experience preferred.
• Industrial hygiene knowledge and best practices.
• Skilled communicator-verbal and written presentations.

Responsibilities

• Champion safety culture across multiple U.S. project sites.
• Manage safety programs including CCIP and risk management.
• Conduct incident review meetings to reinforce accident prevention.
• Implement training for OSHA/MSHA compliance.
• Support injury management and supervise safe behavior.

Skills

Strong knowledge of OSHA, MSHA, DOT, EPA regulations

Proficient in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Teams)

Strong in problem-solving and organization

Strong interpersonal skills

Basic Spanish language communication

Education

Bachelor's degree in Environmental Safety & Health or related field
