Job summary

Amazon in Washington state seeks a Workplace Health & Safety Specialist to lead safety programs, conduct audits, and drive a proactive safety culture. You will investigate incidents, train associates, and partner with leadership to improve processes while ensuring staff wellbeing and compliance with OSHA 29 CFR 1910 standards.

You’ll work with Microsoft Word/Excel for reporting and analyses, and you’ll need strong communication to influence behaviors and safety outcomes across shifts.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent required.
• Bachelor’s degree in EHS-related field or equivalent experience in safety is preferred.
• 1 year in an Environmental Health & Safety role OR 6 months with Amazon safety exposure.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations specifically 29 CFR 1910.
• Experience with Word and Excel in a professional capacity.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality in workplace matters.

Responsibilities

• Lead comprehensive safety programs through data-driven strategies and audits.
• Conduct incident investigations and risk assessments to prevent injuries.
• Deliver engaging safety training and promote a proactive safety culture.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives while maintaining operational efficiency.
• Act as safety advisor to associates and leadership to reinforce best practices.
