Tri-State General Contractors is seeking an experienced Field Safety Coordinator to lead safety on active jobsites across California and neighboring states. You will partner with the Safety & Compliance Team, superintendents, and project managers to identify hazards, reduce risk, and promote safe work practices while supporting production goals.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in commercial construction safety, OSHA 30, and CPR/AED certification, with strong communication and travel readiness.

Formación

• 3 years of construction safety experience in commercial construction, retail remodels, industrial construction, or multi-trade environments.
• Current OSHA 30-Hour Construction Certification.
• Current First Aid/CPR/AED Certification.
• Experience conducting safety inspections, hazard assessments, incidents/near-miss investigations, and corrective actions.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety best practices.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, SharePoint).
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to coordinate with field teams, supervisors, and leadership.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel across CA, HI, AZ, NV, NM, TX, UT, CO.

Responsabilidades

• Support Week Zero jobsite planning, pre-construction meetings, and project startup activities.
• Conduct routine and unscheduled safety inspections, audits, and jobsite hazard assessments.
• Verify compliance with OSHA regulations, company safety policies, customer requirements, and site safety plans.
• Assist development and implementation of Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs).
• Support enforcement of safety programs and training for employees and subcontractors.
• Deliver and coordinate safety training; participate in toolbox talks and safety meetings.
• Assist with incident response, investigations, root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and follow-up.
• Prepare inspection reports and communicate findings to project leadership.
• Maintain OSHA logs, safety records, and training documentation; manage compliance databases.
• Monitor subcontractor safety performance and recommend corrective actions.
• Support SWPPP compliance and environmental requirements on applicable projects.
• Champion Safety Champions Program and employee safety engagement initiatives.
• Serve as field liaison between Operations and Safety & Compliance.
• Coach employees/subcontractors on safe work practices and reinforce safety expectations.
