Job summary

Group Management Services is seeking a Safety Coordinator II to expand field safety programs and client training across multiple sites in the United States. You will coordinate safety initiatives, conduct trainings, and perform on-site inspections to identify risks and drive corrective actions.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of safety experience, with travel up to 75%. A valid driver's license is required. GMS offers comprehensive benefits, PTO, and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• OSHA Authorized Trainer certification preferred
• Certified PIT trainer preferred
• Valid driver's license required; travel up to 75% and possible overnight stays

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the implementation of key safety programs through direct interaction with clients
• Monitor safety and risk management software, programs, vendors, and overall insurability of existing and prospective clients
• Provide and conduct safety trainings, walk-throughs, and assessments for clients
• Perform onsite safety inspections, determine probable causes, and work with Safety Manager to recommend corrective actions and follow up with clients
• Ensure correct Personal Protective Equipment is worn and available at all times
• Conduct post-accident investigations and prepare reports identifying possible causes for senior management
• Communicate red flags to Manager and Risk Department
• Support Risk team with information regarding lost-time injuries and workers' compensation claims
• Assist clients with creating safety programs and be a resource for safety questions
• Conduct OSHA trainings in construction or general industry for clients
• Perform all other duties as assigned

So, what is the Safety Coordinator IIresponsible for?

• This position will coordinate the implementation of key safety programs through direct interaction with clients
• Monitor safety and risk management software, programs, vendors, and overall insurability of existing and prospective clients
• Provide and conduct safety trainings, walk throughs, and assessments for clients
• Perform onsite safety inspections, determine probable causes, work with Safety Manager to make recommendations for corrective action and follow up with clients to ensure measures have been implemented
• Use knowledge to wear correct Personal Protective Equipment at all times and is responsible for having available personal protective equipment at all times
• Conduct post accident investigations and prepare reports identifying possible accident causes and hazards for use by the clients' senior management
• Communicate any red flags to Manager and Risk Department
• Support Risk team with information regarding clients lost-time injuries/illnesses and worker's compensation claims so GMS can better manage all claims
• Assist clients and other departments with creating safety programs and be a resource for questions as they relate to safety
• Conduct OSHA trainings in either the construction or general industry for clients
• Perform all others duties as assigned

What are some Qualifications?

• Education/Experience - Bachelor's degree required and 3+years related safety experiencepreferred; or equivalent combination of both
• Certifications - AED/CPR-American Heart Association Certificationpreferred
• Certification as an OSHA Authorized Trainerpreferred
• Certified PIT trainerpreferred
• Other - Valid driver's license is required; Must be able to travel up to 75% of the time; overnight stays may be necessary
