Job summary

Sure Steel, Inc. is seeking a Safety Coordinator I to assist in implementing safety policies, conducting inspections, and maintaining safety records. The role supports training sessions and promotes a strong safety culture across job sites and facilities.

Ideal candidates have a bachelor’s degree in health and safety or related field, OSHA 30-Hour preferred, and strong communication skills. Entry-level experience is acceptable, with a focus on detail and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety, Environmental Science, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• OSHA 30-Hour or equivalent certifications preferred.
• Entry-level experience in safety, construction, or related field preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining safety programs and policies to promote a safe work environment.
• Conduct routine safety inspections and audits of job sites, facilities, and equipment to identify hazards and areas for improvement.
• Maintain accurate records related to safety activities, including incidents, trainings, inspections, and meeting minutes.
• Disseminate safety information through bulletins, newsletters, and digital platforms to raise awareness.
• Assist in ensuring regulatory compliance and follow-up on corrective actions.
