Job summary

Farmer Focus is seeking a Safety Coordinator to support a proactive safety culture on the Liberty production floor, spending at least 80% of time on the production floor, conducting observations, audits, and supporting incident investigations.

The role requires strong communication, attention to documentation, and the ability to work 1st or 2nd shift onsite with minimal travel; it is a full-time exempt position.

Role Overview / Purpose and Scope

The Safety Coordinator helps support a strong, proactive safety culture by working directly with supervisors, leads, and employees to identify and address safety concerns throughout the facility. This position is highly floor-focused and requires active visibility in the production environment, with at least 80% of working time spent on the production floor conducting observations, supporting employee communication, maintaining accurate documentation, and ensuring corrective actions are completed timely.

Key Responsibilities

• Spend a minimum of 80% of working time actively present on the production floor.
• Conduct safety observations, inspections, and audits.
• Identify unsafe conditions and behaviors and ensure corrective actions are completed.
• Assist with incident investigations and documentation.
• Support safety training, huddles, and employee communication.

Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Travel

This is not a primarily office-based position. The Safety Coordinator is expected to be present on the production floor for at least 80% of working time and must be comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment. Minimal travel may be required as needed.
