Job summary

Sowela in Chilton, Wisconsin seeks a Safety Coordinator to help keep employees safe in a 24/7 manufacturing environment. This on-site, full-time role will lead new hire safety orientation, coordinate training, and ensure adherence to corporate safety policies.

You will collect safety data, report to the corporate safety department, and support safety activities across the facility while acting as the main contact for safety issues.

Qualifications

• 1+ year safety experience in manufacturing setting.
• Working knowledge of OSHA General Industry rules; ISO 45001 familiarity is a plus.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a 24/7 facility, including weekend work.
• Strong written and verbal communication across all levels of management.
• Organized and detail-oriented with solid computer skills.

Safety Coordinator

Location: Chilton, Wisconsin | On-Site | Full-Time

The Safety Coordinator helps keep people safe. That's the job. You'll assist in running safety training, make sure the right materials get to the right people, and serve as the go-to contact for safety issues at the facility. You'll also help ensure Corporate Safety Policies and Procedures are followed across the board. Day-to-day, you'll work alongside maintenance, operations, shipping & receiving, transformation, and human resources.

What you'll do

About you

• At least 1 year of safety experience in a manufacturing environment

• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills; you build working relationships quickly
