Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Safety Coordinator for an on-site Data Center project in Dulles, Virginia. You will inspect sites, enforce OSHA regulations, document safety findings, and coordinate training and incident investigations to ensure a safe work environment.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3+ years of experience as a safety professional in a construction environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Safety, Health or Environmental Applied Sciences or related field required (strong plus).
  • Must be able to pass BC/DT CHST or other related safety certifications.
  • CPR and First Aid Certifications.
  • OSHA 10hr and OSHA 30hr.

Responsibilities

  • Tours and inspects job sites to ensure OSHA and safety policy compliance.
  • Reports safety concerns to management and enforces safety regulations.
  • Documents safety inspections and recommends corrective actions with timelines.
  • Maintains site safety documentation including accident and inspection reports.
  • Develops loss control strategies and implements corrective actions.
  • Provides emergency response to employees as needed.
  • Participates in accident investigations and reports data to regulatory agencies.
  • Updates training materials and manages employee training as necessary.
  • Acts as a lead to guide less-experienced safety staff.

Job Description

Our client is seeking a Safety Coordinator to ensure the team meets all safety requirements. This position will be in the field and on site at a Data Center in Dulles, Virginia to help manage and coordinate all division safety activities

  • Tours and inspects small, mid-size or large, complex job sites to ensure compliance with company, state and federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) rules and regulations.
  • Reports concerns to safety management. Ensures Enforcement of OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
  • Documents safety inspections, citing dangerous areas/procedures and recommending corrective procedures.
  • Provides recommendations for correcting non-compliance issues. Ensures cited issues are corrected within designated timeframe.
  • Maintains all site required documentation related to safety issues, including accident reports, inspection reports and training logs.
  • Develops current and future loss control strategies and implements corrective actions to prevent similar incidents. - Provides emergency response to employees as needed.
  • Participates in and documents information for the investigation of accidents and injuries and submits data to regulatory agencies as required.
  • Contributes to updating training materials and manages employee training as necessary.
  • Acting as a lead, guides less-experience safety roles as needed.
