Job description

Our compensation packages are above industry standard and we believe we have built a culture that truly is family first. This position is working on the Pittsburgh International Airport project. Scope of work is to help oversee electrical and mechanical contractors. Project duration is long term. The position is paid hourly with time and half after 40 hours worked, mileage reimbursement, health benefits and 401k.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute health and safety plans/training in the workplace
• Prepare and enforce policies to establish a culture of health and safety
• Conduct training and presentations for health and safety matters and accident prevention
• Inspect equipment and construction projects to observe possible unsafe conditions
• Investigate accidents or incidents
• Recommend solutions to issues, improvement opportunities or new prevention measures
• Prepare safety permits/approvals
• Provide professional expertise

Requirements:

• Hold a safety and health certification/designation such as but not limited to CSP, CIH, ASP, CHST with at least 5 years of relevant construction safety and health experience; or
• Have a bachelor's degree in safety management or an equivalent engineering degree with at least 7 years of relevant construction safety and health experience; or
• Have at least 12 years of relevant construction safety and health experience
• OSHA 500 course for construction and OSHA 30-hour Construction Outreach Training Course completed in the last 5 years
• Provide proof of completion of a Red Cross or approved equal for Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), First Aid, Automated External Defibrillation (AED), and blood-borne pathogens training course
• Completion of drug and alcohol reasonable suspicion training
• Knowledge of safety representatives' responsibilities
• Ability to work all shifts (day/night/weekends)
• Valid Driver's License
