Dock Safety Coordinator

We are currently recruiting for a Dock Safety Coordinator at our Palmetto, GA site. In this role, you will be responsible for reinforcing safety standards and quality input on new projects and processes. You will also be tasked with completing all assigned safety duties.

About the Role

How you will contribute

• Observe drivers unloading and loading trucks to ensure safe practices are followed. Maintain communication with delivery drivers to ensure timely unloading, loading, and delivery of goods.
• Report safety hazards and unsafe practices to the health and safety team leadership.
• Maintain open communication with inbound and outbound operations teams and resolve issues to streamline deliveries via radio and PINC.
• Keep records of preventative maintenance for dock equipment.
• Walk the yard to identify unsafe practices and hazards, reporting issues to safety leadership.
• Engage or disengage gladhand locks on trailers.
• Remove and dispose of seals on trailers properly.
• Lift, push, or pull dock plates and doors.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
