Job summary

Acme-Barricades- is seeking a Safety Coordinator to support the Safety Director in achieving loss control objectives, minimizing job-related accidents, and enforcing safety policies across our Florida operations. You will monitor activities, conduct site assessments, and promote a strong safety culture.

The role requires travel throughout Florida, collaboration with branches and management, and involvement in safety training, fleet safety, and PPE distribution.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a representative of the Safety Program in the field and at our branches throughout Florida.
• Facilitate positive interactions with employees and managers while asserting safety authority.
• Conduct jobsite assessments and facility inspections.
• Promote and reinforce safety culture through frequent interactions at branches and in the field.
• Assist with implementation of safety incentives and leadership programs.
• Assist with fleet management, driver training and online training program.
• Assist with production and distribution of Safety Program materials.
• Support Safety Director in management of claims.
• Assist with procurement and distribution of Personal Protective Equipment.
• Issues bonus deductions.
• Complete Safety Training and / or Certification as assigned by Safety Director.
• Requires travel throughout Florida.

Description

The Safety Coordinator position provides direct support to the Safety Director in achieving Safety and Loss Control objectives, minimizing risk of job-related accidents, monitoring operations to eliminate hazardous activities, and enforcing safety policies to promote occupational health and safety (OSH) awareness. Other duties required are assisting and resolving property damage and liability claims.

Essential Job Functions:

Includes, but is not limited to, the job specifications contained herein. Additional duties or job functions may be required as deemed necessary by management personnel to contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field preferred. Associates Degree plus two year of relevant experience may be substituted.
