Morris Packaging is seeking a Safety Coordinator to join our Minnesota plant. This role supports the Safety Manager by implementing our safety culture and minimizing job-related risks on the shop floor and in the office.
Responsibilities include facilitating safety programs, conducting audits, leading the safety committee, and coordinating training and near-miss investigations. A high school diploma and 3–5 years of safety experience in manufacturing are preferred.

The Safety Coordinator is an 8-hour shift Monday through Friday working in our state-of-the-art, climate-controlled facility. To effectively perform duties, this position may require overtime and a flexible schedule beyond the normal workday. This position will assist the corporate Safety Manager in all aspects of implementing and sustaining a strong safety culture in which safety is the number one value. Daily work to minimize the risk of job-related injuries will be crucial to the team’s success. This position requires leading with a safety-first mindset.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be in both an office environment and on the plant floor. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets and will require visits to the plant floor that is subject to vibration, equipment noise and cleaning solvents leading to a loud environment.
The physical demands here are representative of those that must be met by the employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and listen, perform tasks requiring manual dexterity, sit for extended periods of time, and lift 20-40 pounds of office supplies. Repetitive motion using wrists, hands, fingers, with the ability to feel and reach with hands and arms will also be required.
This is a full-time position. Typically work standard business days and hours. Flexible to attend meetings or important functions that may occur during off hours and weekends to meet organizational initiatives. Travel: Position may occasionally travel to support business activities.
This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
