Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of safety experience in manufacturing or electronic assembly.
• OSHA 10- or 30-hour certification (General Industry) preferred.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA standards, fire safety codes, and industrial hygiene.
• Excellent verbal and written communication for training sessions and reports.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Conduct safety audits, including 6S and machinery risk assessments to ensure OSHA/local compliance.
• Investigate workplace incidents: Lead investigations for accidents, near-misses, and injuries using root-cause analysis.
• Deliver safety training: Develop and facilitate training for new hires, production staff, and management on hazard communication and emergency procedures.
• Mitigate facility hazards: Identify production risks and execute corrective solutions for machine guarding, electrical, and chemical exposure.
• Manage emergency readiness: Coordinate emergency response plans, lead drills, and maintain firefighting equipment.
• Maintain compliance records: Keep incident reports, training logs, and SDS up to date.
• Champion safety culture: Lead safety committee meetings and engage frontline staff.
• Oversee contractor safety: Enforce Pegatron safety policies for external vendors on-site.

Pegatron Technologies is seeking a dedicated and proactive Safety Coordinator to join our team. Operating within our high-volume technology manufacturing facility, you will develop, implement, and oversee safety programs to ensure full compliance with corporate standards and local regulations. Your primary mission is to mitigate risk, prevent accidents, and foster a proactive culture of safety through regular audits, comprehensive training, and rigorous risk assessments.

Location: Onsite - Georgetown, TX

Job Responsibilities

• Conduct safety audits: Perform regular compliance inspections, 6S audits, and machinery risk assessments to guarantee adherence to OSHA and local regulations.
• Investigate workplace incidents: Lead investigations for accidents, near-misses, and injuries using root-cause analysis to implement sustainable corrective actions.
• Deliver safety training: Develop and facilitate educational sessions for new hires, production staff, and management on hazard communication and emergency procedures.
• Mitigate facility hazards: Identify production risks, including machine guarding, electrical hazards, and chemical exposure, and execute timely corrective solutions.
• Manage emergency readiness: Coordinate emergency response plans, lead routine fire and safety drills, and ensure the maintenance of firefighting equipment.
• Maintain compliance records: Manage precise, up-to-date documentation for incident reports, training logs, and Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
• Champion safety culture: Promote a proactive safety environment facility-wide by leading safety committee meetings and engaging with frontline staff.
• Oversee contractor safety: Monitor and enforce compliance with Pegatron safety policies for all external vendors and contractors working on-site.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
• Experience: 2 - 4 years of safety experience specifically within a manufacturing or electronic assembly environment.
• Certification: OSHA 10-hour or 30-hour certification (General Industry) preferred.
• Regulatory Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of OSHA standards, fire safety codes, and industrial hygiene principles.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills tailored for running training sessions and writing compliance reports.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
