Position Purpose:

This role promotes a safe and healthy workplace by working with the Safety Manager to facilitate Health & Safety programs aligned with corporate and regulatory standards, aiming for zero injuries. You will support employee health, safety, and wellness through training, modeling, and supporting EHS initiatives, with continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide subject matter expertise on safety topics
  • Act as a trainer in formal and informal settings
  • Manage incidents, injuries, near misses; ensure effective incident investigations and corrective actions
  • Support and develop employee safety initiatives such as JHA, Emergency Response, Facility Inspection, and Accident Investigation
  • Facilitate Safety Committee meetings and promote employee participation
  • Create safety communications (signage, training, programs)
  • Collaborate across departments to share best practices and support safety initiatives
  • Maintain EHS documentation and ensure OSHA compliance
  • Participate in professional development and share learning within the organization

Additional Opportunities:

  • Manage occupational healthcare and workers' compensation cases
  • Support safety program administrative tasks
  • Conduct internal audits and prepare for external inspections
  • Participate in cross-functional kaizen events
  • Integrate safety into new product launches and operational changes
  • Perform tests, measurements, and audits related to process controls

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • Minimum two years of relevant experience, preferably in manufacturing; experience and education considered
  • Knowledge of OSHA and other safety regulations
  • Effective communicator in written and verbal formats across all levels
  • Passion for learning and sharing occupational safety knowledge
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office, including PowerPoint and Publisher; ability to navigate databases and document management software

Health and Safety Expectations:

All employees are expected to follow safety policies, report unsafe conditions, and work safely. Leaders should model safe behaviors and evaluate risks to reduce them to acceptable levels.

Work Environment:

  • Walking, standing, sitting throughout the workday
  • Typing, computer work, operating office equipment
  • Lifting up to 50 lbs. occasionally
  • Physical activities like twisting, squatting, bending, kneeling, crawling, climbing

Must pass background check and drug screening.
