Job summary

Hiring Today is seeking a motivated Safety Coordinator to support and continuously improve our safety and environmental programs. This role will work closely with employees and management to identify hazards, improve workplace conditions, support regulatory compliance, and strengthen our safety culture.

Based in upstate New York, the position offers an hourly pay range of $27-$36 and opportunities for professional development, with a clear path toward a Safety Manager role as the company grows.

Qualifications

• Knowledgeable of OSHA and environmental regulatory requirements.
• Experience in manufacturing, food processing, warehousing, or another industrial environment preferred.
• Familiarity with lockout/tagout, machine guarding, powered industrial trucks, hazardous chemicals and PPE preferred.
• Strong communication, training, problem‑solving, and organizational skills.
• Mechanical aptitude and comfort working in a manufacturing and warehouse environment.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.

• Use safety data and trends to identify opportunities and drive continuous improvement.
• Coordinate contractor and vendor safety requirements.
• Oversee the return-to-work program and assist with emergency preparedness and regulatory inspections.
• Partner with employees and management to promote a proactive safety culture.

Schedule & Compensation

• Primarily Monday-Friday, daytime hours, with occasional nights, weekends and after-hours response as needed.
• Starting pay: $27-$36 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
