Job summary

AT YOUR SERVICE is seeking a part-time security/operations team member for Evening and weekend shifts at multiple Chicago venues, including United Center and Guaranteed Rate Field. The role emphasizes safety, incident reporting, and coordination with security and medical staff.

Starting pay is $26.95 per hour. The position may require standing, walking, lifting up to 10 pounds, and exposure to loud environments. Prior short safety-related experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Reading and interpreting documents such as safety rules, operating and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
• Ability to apply concepts of basic math.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience accepted.

Responsibilities

• Pre-game inspections of the building.
• Assemble reports from Event Security, First Aid, Standard Parking and related documentation.
• Document any incident requiring first aid.
• Participate in recognition programs.
• Assist in planning and monitoring departmental strategic goals.
• Scheduling for team members and liaising with medical staff and security.

General Responsibilities:

To ensure and maintain the safety of the United Center / Guaranteed Rate Field guests, staff and physical plant.

Demonstrated Skills:

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization
• Ability to apply concepts of basic math.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instruction furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• Communicating Standard Operating Procedures to all Team Members and work as a liaison for the medical staff and security, with the United Center Management Staff.
• Scheduling.

Specific Duties:

• Pre-game inspections of the building.
• Assemble reports from Event Security, First Aid, Standard Parking and any event related documentation.
• Document thoroughly any incident requiring first aid.
• Team Member must recognize and participate in the utilization of the various Recognition Programs.
• Team Member must assist in the planning and monitoring of departmental strategic goals.

Qualifications:

• 1 year certificate from college or technical school: or 3 to 6 months related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Additional Information:

• Starting Pay Rate = $26.95
• The individual maybe required to sit or walk up to 2/3 of the work shift
• The individual may also be required to use their hands, stoop, kneel or reach with their hands up to 1/3 of the work shift
• Vision requirement: Close, distance, color, peripheral, depth and focusing abilities
• The individual may also be required to lift up to 10 pounds up to 1/3 of the work shift
• The individual maybe required to walk up and down several stairs throughout the duration of the event while inspecting the building. The individual may also be required to assist security or first aid in lifting injured personnel or guests.
• The individual maybe required to work near moving mechanical parts, work in high, precarious places or work in outdoor weather conditions for up to 1/3 of the workday .
• The environment has a very loud noise level.
• The individual may also be required to be exposed to blood at times, in emergency situations when they are the first respondent.
