Job summary

DSV is seeking a Safety Supervisor (HSE) at our Houston facility to lead daily health, safety and environmental programs, coach site staff, and implement risk control measures in alignment with OSHA, EPA and DOT requirements. You will drive audits, incident investigations and training to promote a compliant and safe workplace.

The role requires 3 years in logistics, strong knowledge of safety systems, and the ability to partner with site leadership to sustain loss prevention.

Qualifications

• Must have a High school diploma or GED.
• 3 years’ experience working in a logistics/distribution/relevant environment.
• Prior experience in safety observations/inspections, developing and implementing compliance strategies and plans.
• Knowledge of safety and health management systems and practices.
• Preferred: Prior MHE certification / knowledge of basic MHE operation.

Responsibilities

• Maintain overall safety and security of the site and staff.
• Monitor safety metrics and ensure compliance with Safety Programs Policies.
• Develop and implement risk assessments and training.
• Lead safety audits and coordinate with regulatory agencies as needed.
• Investigate accidents and near-misses and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure EMS procedures and drills are carried out annually.
