Job summary

Dorman Products is seeking an EHS Specialist to lead safety programs, conduct incident investigations, and develop site-specific plans in line with OSHA, EPA and NIOSH standards. The role emphasizes training, hazard assessment, and collaboration with HR and operations.

The US base salary ranges from $65,400 to $95,200 with bonus eligibility and comprehensive benefits, including health, 401k, PTO and parental leave. This position supports ongoing safety improvements at US facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in safety, occupational health or related field preferred.
• 1+ years of experience in organizational safety and employee health programs.
• Thorough understanding of OSHA, EPA, and NIOSH rules and regulations.
• Experience with Job Safety Analysis and Ergonomics preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and oversee training of all written regulatory compliance programs on an annual basis.
• Assist in managing a safe work environment that ensures regulatory compliance and safety goals.
• Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Develop site-specific Safety Plans to comply with OSHA and other standards.
• Provide subject matter expertise to leadership on safety compliance and policies.
• Oversee on-site hazard/risk assessments, safety audits, and inspections.
• Administrate training regarding company-specific and regulatory safety requirements.
• Prepare reports and documentation related to safety activities.
• Maintain compliance and training documentation in EHS systems.
• Collaborate with other Safety representatives on company-wide initiatives.
• Coordinate with Human Resources on worker’s compensation and return-to-work policy execution.
• Observe workplace practices to identify safety problems and implement corrective actions.
• Liaise with fire departments and rescue teams for emergency responses.
• Support hygiene programs like noise surveys and ventilation assessments.
• Participate in department meetings and projects including Workers Comp review.
