Job summary

Mesa Associates, Inc. seeks a Safety Specialist to support the Corporate Safety Manager across divisions and ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and customer safety requirements.

You will update customer databases monthly, conduct site inspections, and perform accident investigations to support safety improvements. You will develop and deliver safety training, track metrics, and contribute to emergency response planning while coordinating with federal and state agencies.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in Occupational Safety and Health or a related field.
• 4+ years of direct employee safety engagement and training experience.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and safety regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Create a strong safety culture by implementing workplace health and safety policies.
• Evaluate, assess, and alter safety procedures to strengthen our safety culture.
• Analyze accident reports and evaluate injury case studies.
• Prepare and conduct safety training and presentations for health and safety matters.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory bodies and standards (OSHA, EPA, etc.).
• Track incident metrics and report safety statistics to stakeholders.
• Lead accident and incident investigations to determine causes and lessons learned.
• Travel to project sites as required to meet safety deliverables.
