Job summary

City Park Conservancy is seeking a Safety Manager to oversee safety training, risk management, regulatory compliance, and asset tracking in New Orleans. You will coordinate training records, ensure insurance compliance, support incident reporting, and assist with budgeting and procurement within the Safety & Risk Management Department.

The role offers a developmental path with opportunities for increased responsibility in safety, compliance, and emergency management functions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with three years of experience in compliance, records management, safety, risk management, or related fields.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in safety/risk management or related discipline with three years of applicable experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and maintain employee safety training records and databases.
• Monitor training completion status and generate compliance reports.
• Track vendor Certificates of Insurance and ensure coverage meets requirements.
• Maintain LPAA and ORM-related compliance documentation.
• Support incident reporting, investigations, and corrective actions.
• Assist with procurement, budgeting, and departmental purchasing.
