Job summary

Kroger is seeking a Safety & Compliance Lead at our Ohio plant to drive safety initiatives and ensure regulatory compliance across OSHA, EPA and FDA requirements. You will collaborate with the plant team to implement corrective actions and maintain Kroger’s safety standards.

The role requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and hands-on leadership to sustain a safe working environment and continuous improvement in SQR performance.

Qualifications

• Experience with Behavioral Based Safety and regulatory compliance.
• Proficient in OSHA regulations and EPA/FDA awareness.
• Strong communication and analytical abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide updates to leadership on safety concerns and corrective action plans.
• Manage reports, surveys, audits for regulatory agencies.
• Develop and maintain the Emergency Response Plan.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, FDA, EPA and local regulations.
• Administer Respiratory Protection Plan.
• Lead incident investigations and corrective actions.
• Train safety teams and conduct internal safety audits.
• Support Safety and Quality/ Reliability improvements.
• Oversee data gathering and EPA reporting.
