Job summary

Kroger is seeking a Lead Safety Compliance role in Cincinnati to lead safety processes, monitor compliance, and drive improvements across Safety, Quality, Reliability and Customer 1st initiatives. The candidate will work with plant teams to meet safety goals and regulatory requirements while upholding Kroger values.

The role requires strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA and FDA regulations, CRP/First Aid certifications, and leadership experience to develop actionable corrective actions and training

Qualifications

• Experience with Behavioral Based Safety and regulatory compliance.
• Reading and interpreting safety documents and regulations.
• Strong analytical and investigative mindset; attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Provide updates to Leadership on safety concerns, regulatory issues, and corrective actions.
• Manage compilation/submission of reports and audits required by regulators.
• Develop, review and maintain Emergency Response Plan to meet standards.
• Maintain knowledge of OSHA, FDA, EPA and local regulations.
• Administer Respiratory Protection Plan including training and testing.
• Develop and maintain policies and procedures to ensure Kroger standards.
• Comply with EPA reporting requirements (311, 312, 313).
• Investigate incidents and lead corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Train and advise safety teams for continual safety improvement.
• Conduct internal safety audits and inspections.
