Job summary

Primoris Services Corporation is seeking an HSE Specialist to ensure health, safety and environmental compliance across operations. You will develop and monitor policies, conduct site inspections, investigate incidents, and provide employee training to promote a proactive safety culture.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, 2+ years of HSE experience in construction or heavy industry, and OSHA/EPA knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in occupational health and safety, environmental science, engineering or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in HSE, preferably in construction, utilities or heavy industry.
• OSHA 30-hour Construction certification preferred; CSP/CHST/ASP are a plus.
• CPR certification and instructor preferred.
• Strong understanding of OSHA, EPA regulations and related requirements.
• Proven ability to deliver safety training and presentations.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor HSE policies, procedures and programs per federal, state and local regulations.
• Conduct site inspections and audits to identify hazards and ensure safety compliance.
• Investigate incidents, determine root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
• Provide HSE training to employees and contractors on topics like hazard communication and emergency preparedness.
• Maintain accurate HSE records including training logs and incident documentation.
• Assist in developing and implementing emergency response plans.
• Collaborate with project managers to integrate HSE into planning and execution.
• Stay updated on new HSE regulations and best practices, updating policies accordingly.
• Participate in safety meetings and committees to promote proactive safety culture.
• Prepare and submit HSE reports to regulatory agencies.
