Job summary

Primoris Heavy Civil is seeking an HSE Specialist I Safety to implement and maintain safety and environmental programs on heavy civil construction projects. The role ensures regulatory compliance and supports project teams in HSE matters on site.

Responsibilities include inspecting workplaces, training plan management, reporting OSHA updates to management, and coordinating incident investigations to close out corrective actions; a strong safety culture and collaboration with the project team are

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• OSHA 30-Hour Certification required.
• OSHA 500/510 Certification preferred.
• First Aid/CPR/AED certification required or ability to obtain.
• CHST/MSHA/HAZWOPER certifications are a plus.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA, DOT, MUTCD, and EPA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Inspect workplace and environmental incidents and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental requirements.
• Provide safety training and maintain training plans.
• Advise project management on OSHA and regulatory updates.
• Lead HSE inspections and audits on site.
• Investigate incidents and verify corrective actions are closed out.
