Job summary

Amazon seeks a Workplace Health & Safety Specialist to elevate safety culture across our Virginia facilities. You will lead safety programs, conduct audits and investigations, and partner with teams to prevent injuries while maintaining productivity.

You will mentor associates, translate data into actionable insights, and support emergency response. A year in EHS or related field, OSHA knowledge, and Word/Excel proficiency are required. On-site with flexible shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year in an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) related field OR Bachelor’s degree in EHS OR 6 months safety role within Amazon.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations specifically 29 CFR 1910.
• Experience using Microsoft Word and Excel in a professional capacity.
• Experience maintaining confidentiality in matters involving security and/or personnel issues in the workplace.

Responsibilities

• Drive comprehensive safety programs through data-driven strategies.
• Lead daily safety audits, incident investigations, and risk assessments.
• Deliver engaging safety training and promote proactive safety culture.
• Champion continuous improvement initiatives that enhance safety and efficiency.
• Build relationships with associates and leadership to drive behavioral change.
• Translate safety data into narratives to influence positive safety initiatives.
