Job summary

CJ Schwan's in Ohio seeks a full-time EHS Lead to manage on-site contractor safety, lead fire system inspections, and ensure safe operations across production lines.

You will perform daily safety training, inspect machinery, verify PPE use, and investigate incidents. Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred; a High School Diploma is required. This role offers growth within a food manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Production/safety experience preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead EHS contact for on-site contractor management.
• Lead Fire System inspections.
• Inspect processes and machinery for health and safety compliance.
• Patrol the production line to ensure safety rules are followed.
• Conduct daily safety training for employees.
• Provide regular safety trainings (weekly/monthly/quarterly/yearly).
• Take measurements of noise, heat, and vibrations and collect samples as needed.
• Ensure use of appropriate PPE and protective clothing.
• Investigate and prevent industrial diseases and hazardous work conditions.
• Investigate accidents and complaints to determine legal breaches.
• Report inspection and investigation results.
• Provide safety support to plant employees.
• Assist with other safety-related assignments as required.
