Job summary

CJ Schwan’s Company in Stilwell, OK is seeking a full-time EHS position within the Safety Department. The role supports the EHS Manager and site leadership to maintain high safety standards across the frozen desserts facility.

Responsibilities include inspecting equipment, training staff, and ensuring compliance with GMP, OSHA, USDA and company policies. The role requires a High School Diploma and 1+ years of production experience.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of production experience.
• Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Office.
• Strong communication and reasoning skills for a positive work environment.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and operation manuals.

Responsibilities

• Inspect machinery processes to ensure health and safety practices.
• Work with contractors and ensure safety policies are followed.
• Monitor the production line and verify workers adhere to safety rules.
• Conduct daily safety training for new and current employees.
• Conduct regular safety training (weekly, monthly, quarterly, yearly).
• Carry out environmental inspections as directed by EHS Manager.
• Examine machinery, environments and structures; measure noise, heat, and vibrations.
• Ensure workers have PPE such as ear protection or gloves.
• Participate in the facility Confined Space Entry Team and Hazardous Materials Response Team.
