We are seeking a Safety Assistant Co-Op/Internto support our Safety Department for the Summer of 2026. This hands-on role offers current college students the opportunity to gain real-world experience in the commercial construction industry while contributing to our mission of protecting employees and maintaining regulatory compliance.

Duties andResponsibilities

• Assist with creating and maintaining safety reports and logs through data entry, filing, and updating safety-related documents.
• Perform safety-related audits on various construction sites for potential hazards and misconduct.
• Maintain inventory of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and order equipment as needed.
• Support the Safety Director with daily tasks and special projects.
• Aid new hires in safety orientation meeting.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or higher degree program in Safety Science, Safety Management, or a related field from an accredited university
• Demonstrated record of strong academic performance and commitment to excellence in coursework
• OSHA 30-hour training preferred
• Demonstrated communication and problem-solving skills through coursework or previous work experience
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Interest in learning construction safety practices and regulatory compliance

Knowledge and Skills
