Job summary

Addiction Recovery Care, located in Ashland, KY, is hiring a security guard to patrol campus areas, monitor cameras, and deter criminal activity. You will report incidents to local authorities and ensure doors and gates are secure after hours, maintaining a detailed incidents log.

The role requires attention to detail, analytical thinking, and the ability to multitask in a dynamic environment. A high school diploma is required; a Bachelor's degree is a plus and prior security experience is

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Prior security guard experience preferred.
• Substance abuse field experience preferred.
• Analytical and multitasking skills.
• Attention to detail and organization a must.

Responsibilities

• Patrols and monitors an assigned area; reports suspicious activities to local authorities
• Monitors surveillance cameras, inspects property, and monitors crowds
• Provides constant monitoring of vehicular and pedestrian traffic throughout the campus
• Contacts law enforcement or fire department in case of an emergency
• After business hours, checks doors, windows, and gates to ensure the property is secure
• Investigates reports of suspicious activity on the property
• Reasonably detains persons suspected of criminal activity until law enforcement arrives
• Escorts discharged staff, trespassers, and other unwelcome parties off the premises
• Maintains written log of all security related incidents and their dispositions.
• Performs other related duties as assigned

Key Experience and Education Needed
