Job summary

La Vida Llena, a not-for-profit Life Plan Community in Albuquerque, seeks a Safety Aide to maintain a safe, welcoming environment through observation and reporting. You will screen visitors, patrol areas, monitor alarm systems, and assist during emergencies to ensure resident and staff safety.

The role is night-shift oriented (11:15pm–7:45am) with a pay range of $15.38–$18.58 per hour DOE and a comprehensive benefits package including health coverage, PTO, and retirement options.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in building or grounds security or a related field.
• Knowledge of alarm and communication systems and ability to communicate with Police and Fire departments.
• Ability to complete forms accurately and maintain detailed logs and reports.
• Formal training or experience in self-defense methods.
• CPR/AED and First Aid certification upon hire or within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide general safety and security through observation, monitoring, and reporting to promote a safe and secure environment across the community.
• Perform gatekeeper duties by screening and directing residents, guests, vendors, contractors, and visitors as needed.
• Conduct periodic patrols of common and public areas, on foot or by vehicle, and check security functions during rounds.
• Monitor surveillance equipment, fire alarm systems, and emergency call systems, responding to alarms and escalating issues appropriately.
• Assist during resident or employee emergencies, provide staff escorts during non-regular business hours, maintain accurate logs and reports, and perform other duties as assigned.

We are seeking a Safety Aide to support a safe and secure community through observation, reporting, and resident-focused service.

What You'll Be Doing

About You
