Job summary

AspenTech is seeking a highly motivated Technical Scrum Master to support Agile teams delivering software for the Manufacturing & Supply Chain portfolio. You will coach teams, facilitate events, and drive SAFe practices to ensure predictable delivery and built-in quality.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years of total experience, 3+ years in software development or engineering, and hands-on experience with SDLC, DevOps, and Agile tools like Azure DevOps or Jira.

Qualifications

• 6+ years total experience including software development, technical lead, or engineering roles
• 3+ years as a Scrum Master, Agile Team Lead, or SAFe Scrum Master
• Strong understanding of SDLC from requirements to release management
• Experience implementing SAFe, Scrum, Kanban, and Agile delivery methodologies
• Experience facilitating Agile ceremonies and leading distributed cross-functional teams
• Hands-on experience with Agile lifecycle tools such as Azure DevOps or Jira
• Strong knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD, and Agile quality practices

Responsibilities

• Serve as the SAFe Scrum Master and servant leader for one or more Agile teams
• Facilitate Iteration Planning, Daily Standups, Backlog Refinement, Reviews, Retrospectives, PI Planning, System Demos, and Inspect & Adapt events
• Promote SAFe, Agile, Lean, and continuous improvement
• Guide teams in applying SDLC practices across planning, development, testing, integration, validation, and release readiness
• Identify, track, and remove impediments while escalating organizational blockers when necessary
• Support Product Owners and teams in maintaining healthy backlogs, clear priorities, and predictable execution
• Foster a culture of built-in quality, engineering excellence, DevOps adoption, and CI/CD practices
• Coordinate cross-team dependencies and facilitate collaboration across Agile teams within the ART
• Use Agile metrics and KPIs to improve transparency and outcomes
• Coach team members, Product Owners, and stakeholders on Agile best practices and SAFe execution
