Job summary

The American Red Cross Southern California region is seeking a Service to the Armed Forces (SAF) Intern in San Diego. This is a paid part-time, temporary internship position with an expected travel of 15-25%%.

The salary is aligned to the CA geographic location and the schedule is 20 hours/week with flexible hours during normal business hours. As an undergraduate student, you will assist in the assessment and development of SAF programs, conduct research, and help create and maintain program

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Internship is typically part of an undergraduate program which requires some university credit hours.
• Up to 1 year of related experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; proficient MS Office; ability to work on a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist in assessment and development of SAF programs.
• Conduct research related to the programs and recommends processes for greater efficiency.
• Assist with the creation and/or maintenance of program, plans and systems.
• Assist with development of reports and other informational materials presented to management.
• Support and/ or manage multiple SAF programs.
• Participates in military and veteran engagement events and community outreach in the region.
